Cosentino surface Dekton has been declared "cradle to grave" carbon neutral.

The accolade covers the entire life cycle of the ultra-compact surface, covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3; from the extraction of the raw material, to the use of the product and the end of its life.

This recognition, obtained through emission reduction and compensation projects certified by the United Nations, confirms the good practices in terms of sustainability and environmental management, says the Cosentino Group, which made investments of more than three million Euros into the project (approx AED 13m).

The Spanish multinational added that it was an "important achievement" in its fight against climate change and has resulted in a 7 per cent reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.

UV-resistant material Dekton can be seen in commercial projects around the world, including the 4* and 5* Hipotels hotels in Palma de Mallorca.

Some of its colours are made with recycled materials from the product’s own manufacturing process.

So you could say, whatever the shade, Dekton is green.
