We're sad to report that the beautiful wooden doors of The Majlis Gallery are closing for good.

A fine art gallery in Dubai's historical Al Fahidi Neighbourhood temporarily shuttered over the summer.

However, now the owners have taken the decision to call it a day.

A 'swan song' sale will take place from September 27 to October 16, when everything in the gallery will be half price or less.

Works currently on show there include the "spirited linear drawings" of David Paskett and the colourful artworks of Glass Manifesto.

After opening in 1989 in the former home of interior designer Alison Collins, the windtower house became a meeting point for creatives.
