With Expo 2020 set to take place in a few months, the designs for pavilions at the largest event ever held in the Arab world are almost complete.

Expo is expected to contribute $33bn (AED122bn) to the UAE economy over the period of time from being announced in 2013 up to 2031.

Noted architects including Santiago Calatrava, Carlo Ratti and WOHA (who designed country pavilions for the UAE, Italy and Singapore respectively) are on involved, and the interiors are also going to be a major part of the experience.

While we're still waiting to see what the inside of many of these pavilions will look like, let's take a look at the buildings themselves ahead of the planned start date of October 20th, 2020.
