Jamal Abdulla Lootah, presently chief executive officer of Imdaad comes with a wealth of experience at different levels in Dubai World. Starting his career with the security department of Dubai Port Authority, Lootah has been with Dubai World since 1991.
He made steady progress in his career, and in 2005, became director of human resources and general administration at Dubai World. In 2007 Lootah was appointed Imdaad’s CEO. As the CEO, he is leading the FM service provider’s ambitious expansion drive with a steady focus on green initiatives.
In a recent interview with Facilities Management Middle East, Lootah said: “We are doing very well in Dubai, better than other countries in the GCC when it comes to facilities management.”
He added: “We have buildings like the Burj Khalifa and I think we have to have the best facilities management in the world as well, because this should happen parallel to the quality and type of buildings being built here.”
Lootah, who is also the president of the Middle East Facilities Management Association (MEFMA), has completed the Corporate Advance Program at IMD, a global business school based in Switzerland, after graduating in Business Administration from the University of London.
He has been an active participant in the Dubai Leaders Program, the internationally recognised leadership development initiative launched by Dubai World in association with Wharton Business School of University of Pennsylvania.
