Gundeep Singh is the chief executive and founder of The Change Initiative in Dubai. Sustainable products can be found at his store in Dubai, UAE. Targeting businesses, government and everyday consumers, The Change Initiative, established in 2008, is designed to help change behaviours by allowing people to make more responsible lifestyle choices. The company revealed plans to open up to 25 showrooms in the Middle East and Asia, and expand by up to 4,000 employees over the next five years. Visitors to the marketplace will be able to learn about, try and buy products, from solar panels and cleaning products to household appliances. Most recently, Bee’ah launched its myBee’ah Loyalty programme in Dubai with its first reverse vending machine at the eco-store.
Singh began his career as an operations manager with ITC in India, before serving the Charanjit Singh Group as senior manager operations. He later became the youngest GM of the Southern Pacific Corporation in South East Asia. In 1997 Singh started his own business, The Learning Curve, before joining UAE-based Al Ghurair Group in 1999. Singh has master degrees from New York State’s Cornell University and the ESSEC Business School in Paris. He received a Fulbright Scholarship with one of the highest GMAT scores recorded in India.
