A French native, Serge Zaalof graduated from Lycee Maurice Ravel, College Harriet Baita and ETC Hilton International Basel in Switzerland.
He began his career in hospitality with Hilton in 1978 and held various positions throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. It was a 10-year stint with the Jumeirah Group that firmly established his credentials in Dubai, where he was involved with developing both the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Madinat Resort into leading resorts.
Zaalof joined Atlantis, The Palm in August 2009 and has actively driven the executive management team ever since. He has been instrumental in strengthening the position of the resort as an entertainment destination with the launch of Asateer and Sandance, as well as the success of Nasimi Beach. In addition, he has overseen new food and beverage concepts including The Burger Joint and Asia Republic. Zaalof has also consistently prioritised improvement based on results from J.D. Power.
While only responsible for one hotel, it is certainly a large one and now an iconic image of Dubai’s hospitality sector.
