In 2012 Egyptian-born Mohamed Awadalla officially launched Time Hotels Management and its portfolio of six properties.

Awadalla is responsible for Time Oak Hotel & Suites, Time Crystal Hotel Apartments, Time Opal Hotel Apartments and Time Topaz Hotel Apartments, all of which are in Dubai.

The Dubai hotels were previously part of Layia Hospitality, but were reflagged under new company Time Hotels Management at the end of February 2012. In total, the company took over six hotels, with plans to expand from the outset.

The last 12 months have, therefore, seen Awadalla sign new contracts as well as upgrading Time Grand Plaza Hotel to a five-star rating. Keeping him occupied for the remainder of 2012 is a new project in Luxor and an extension of the meeting, incentive, conference and events facilities at Time Oak Hotel & Suites.

Hotels in the pipeline include a budget hotel in Al Barsha and four upcoming hotel projects yet to be announced.

Awadalla has 18 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
