A UK inquest has heard how a British teenager was found dead in his Dubai hotel room in the early hours of New year’s Day, reports a British news site.
Coroner Andreé Rebello was told how the fifteen-year-old boy was found hanged from a towel rail in his bathroom at his hotel after a night out celebrating New Year’s Eve.
The dead boy's mother was present at the hearing at St George's Hall, Liverpool, where evidence of identification was presented.
Recording a narrative verdict Mr Rebello said: "[he] was expected to return to his hotel at midnight on the first of January, but did not arrive until quarter to three in the morning.
"He was later checked-upon at 3.45am and was found hanging from a towel rail."
The British teenager reportedly suffered from Asperger's Syndrome but it was not determined whether that had anything to do with his death, with the coroner recording a narrative verdict.
Mr Rebello issued a death certificate in order that funeral arrangements may be finalised.
