Recently opened boutique wellness retreat Zaya Nurai Island has hired two new staff members.

With the new team members joining, Zaya Nurai Island now has a full executive team on board.

Elodie Patel and Nathalie Cockayne have started their roles as marketing manager and hotel manager, respectively.

Originally from France, Patel started her career in the hospitality industry in 2008.

She worked at Novotel Château de Versailles and Kempinski Djibouti Palace, after which she joined Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates in 2012 before moving over to Zaya Nurai Island in December 2014.

Cockayne brings more than 15 years’ experience to her new role as hotel manager.

She has worked with a number of five-star luxury operators such as InterContinental Hotels Group, FRHI Hotels & Resorts, and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, as well as roles with prestigious hotels such as Burj Al Arab and The Savoy in London.

Most recently, Cockayne was director of rooms at the H Hotel, Dubai.

With the new team members joining, Zaya Nurai Island now has a full executive team on board.

Home-grown developer Zaya Hospitality opened Zaya Nurai Island, its flagship resort in January in Abu Dhabi.

The 55-key resort is located just 10 minutes by boat from Saadiyat Island.
