Retail Access has been appointed by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) to develop fresh culinary concepts for its in-house managed dining venues, with more than two million visitors passing through the exhibition halls every year.
Four brands will be revamped by Retail Access, which has been appointed for the strategic master planning and development of F&B brands that will be located along the concourse and inside the exhibition halls.
Retail Access general manager for consultancy and design Hugo Van Der Schaegh said: “As a global destination and a regional epicentre for events, DWTC is consistently assessing its service to ensure it can surprise visitors with an unparalleled experience. This includes reviewing its portfolio of dining options against international trends and tastes. We are honoured to be handed responsibility for the research through to the design, architecture and implementation of culinary concepts created in partnership with DWTC.”
Retail Access has also been given responsibility for F&B consultancy, charged with developing the menu in partnership with the chefs of the DWTC and planning the kitchen fit-outs and staff training once interior design is complete.
Currently, DWTC has more than 148 chefs from 17 different countries, with the capacity to cater for up to 15,000 conference and exhibition delegates on a daily basis. In addition to this, Hospitality by DWTC also specialises in catering for weddings, live events, gala dinners, sporting events, and more, both onsite and offsite.
The first restaurants are expected to start serving their new menus at the end of 2015.
