Hyatt has confirmed that it will open its first Andaz branded hotel in Dubai from Q4 this year.
The hotel, which will be the second property in the UAE alongside Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, will be located at Palm Jumeirah and is part of a management agreement with wasl Asset Management Group.
The hotel will feature twin 15-story towers comprising 217 guestrooms and 116 serviced apartments. It will also include four restaurants as well as a fitness centre, spa and meeting facilities.
The announcement was made during the Arabian Travel Market trade show in Dubai’s World Trade Centre.
Hyatt’s regional VP of development, Middle East and North Africa, Ludwig Bouldoukian, said the property would attract travellers looking to fully “immerse themselves” in Dubai.
“Hyatt is committed to thoughtfully introducing brands to new places and providing meaningful experiences for each and every guest,” said Bouldoukian. “We believe that the globally renowned Palm Jumeirah provides the ideal setting to realise this vision.”
As well as the Andaz hotel in Dubai, a second property is also under development at the beachside destination La Mer, which is set to open in 2020.
Hyatt Centric La Mer Dubai will mark the first property under the Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand in the UAE.
