Schengen visas to Switzerland to get more expensive
However, visa issuance procedures will become faster and more flexible

Schengen visas to Switzerland are set to get more expensive from 2 February 2020, the government of Switzerland has announced.

While fees for adults will be raised by Euro 20 (AED81.92), fees for children has been increased by Euro 40 (AED 143.36).

According to the statement posted, “The adult visa fee will be raised from €60 (AED 245.76) to € 80 (AED 327.68) and those for minors between the ages of six and twelve will be increased by € 5 (AED20.48) to € 40 (AED163.84).”

However, visa issuance procedures will become faster and more flexible. “Visa applications can be submitted six months before the trip and can now be filled in electronically. Multiple-entry visas with longer validity periods can be issued for a period of up to five years,” the statement read.
