Abu Dhabi’s total hotel revenue, guest numbers increase in Q2 2019

Hotels in Abu Dhabi have registered a rise in the total revenue and guest numbers in Q2 2019, data by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi revealed.

A total of 1.2 million guests stayed in the emirate’s hotels between April and June, which was a 6.8% increase when compared to same period last year.

Total hotel revenues for Q2 were up to AED 1.2 billion, a rise of 3.7% from the previous year, Emirates News Agency reported.

Hotels saw an increase of international tourists. Guests from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia went up by 23.6%, while guests from India increased by 15.8%. Other key markets such as the UK and USA also show positive growth.

Statistics for 2019 also revealed double-digit growth in other key indicators. While room revenues rose by 17.6%, RevPAR increase by 10.7%, and ARR rose by 10.2%.
