RMS Cloud president of global sales & marketing Peter Ferris talks about the benefits of the RMS Cloud's Rate & Channel Manager and its enhanced RMS Internet Booking Engine.

What is your new launch for this year?

Technology is always evolving and so is RMS Cloud, the world’s fastest-growing property management system (PMS). The recent product focus at RMS has been on our Rate & Channel Manager, which connects hotels' inventory directly to all the world’s major online travel agents (OTAs) or booking channels, and is integrated with the newly enhanced RMS Internet Booking Engine (IBE). 

Can you share more details?

The Rate Manager brings all rate and inventory management tools to a central location. Quickly view, change or setup new rates, allotments or restrictions for house use and connected channels from one place in the RMS. The RMS Channel Manager directly interfaces with OTAs and distribution platforms, and enjoys, on average, a four-second update time for live rates, availability and restrictions.

RMS has also launched a suite of new customisation tools for its IBE, enhancing the ability of suppliers to boost direct online bookings and save on commissions.


Why is this product so important for the hospitality industry, and why should they buy this product from you?

A hotel's PMS is the engine that drives its accommodation business. The RMS Online Rates & Channel Manager allows hoteliers to manage their distribution, rates and revenue management, all from within the PMS. This eliminates the need for operators to use expensive third-party channel managers, saving time and money by reducing booking acquisition costs.

These powerful tools, along with our CRS, POS, CRM and full front- and back-of-house operations capabilities, make RMS Cloud an affordable and powerful choice for small independent properties through to global chains looking for an enterprise software solution to manage their accommodation business.

When was your company established, and how long has it been in the Middle East?

Founded more than 30 years ago, RMS builds hospitality management software for hotels, serviced apartments and holiday parks. The business is growing from strength to strength with 6,000 clients in 30 countries. RMS expanded into the Middle East six years ago and is making a significant impact; we recently signed landmark agreements with Zenith Holiday Homes, Bespoke Holiday Homes, Dream Inn Dubai and IFA residences.
