Etihad Airways to resume flights to Khartoum, Sudan

Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways has announced plans to resume flights between Abu Dhabi and Khartoum, Sudan from 16 July 2019.

Etihad Flight EY 632 will depart Abu Dhabi at 9.50 am every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and will reach Khartoum four hours later at 11.50 am local time.

The return service, flight EY 633 will depart at 12.50 pm, reaching Abu Dhabi at 6.55pm.

A few weeks ago, the service between the two cities was suspended due to political unrest in Sudan.

"The safety of guests and staff is the highest priority for Etihad Airways, and the decision to resume services follows a detailed review of safety and security," the airline announced.

Dubai-based Emirates resumed flights to Khartoum on 8 July 2019.
