JA Resorts & Hotels have appointed four people to leadership positions in its F&B department as it gears up to open 10 new F&B concepts in 2019, according to Caterer Middle East.
Olivier Belliard has joined JA The Resort as director of culinary. The French national has experience working in Michelin starred concepts in his homeland as well as stints in Mauritius, Egypt, Thailand and the USA.
He’ll be joined at the hotel by Kyra Bommelje, a Dutch national who has worked at the company for over four years. She has been appointed cluster director of food and beverage and the pair will lead the openings in the new JA Lake View Hotel in September, along with reopening the JA Beach Hotel after extensive renovation.
JA Beach Hotel will launch an Italian restaurant, Sette, with 360 dome views of the resort, as well as Phoenicia restaurant – a collaboration with multi award-winning Greg Malouf.
Also joining the team are Devid di Benimeo and Petra Humphers. Di Benimeo and Humphers will be the cluster executive chef and cluster director of food and beverage respectively and will lead the culinary at new sports bar Offside at JA Ocean View Hotel and will launch the brand new pizzeria concept Motorino. Motorino has locations in New York, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore and will be fully licensed.
