American rapper Nicki Minhaj will headline the Jeddah World Fest on 18 July 2019, reports suggest.

The music festival is part of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage’s (SCTH) seasonal entertainment for the Kingdom.

Minhaj will be joined by musician Steve Aoki and singer Liam Payne of One Direction fame, a report in Arabnews read.

The festival will be held at the KASC Stadium Jeddah and is open for people who are 16 and above only.

Reports suggest that viewing areas for people of determination have also been created.

Saudi Arabia has been working on increasing the influx of tourists, in June the organising committee for Jeddah Season 2019 simplified obtaining an entry visa through an online application method.

Tourists who buy a ticket for the Jeddah Season 2019 event can log on to the Sharek website where they will obtain an instant e-visa by following step-by-step instructions.

Last month Saudi was in the news when it was announced that US singer-songwriter Ne-Yo would be performing at the Kingdom’s nightclub White.

However, the show was cancelled hours before he was scheduled to perform. The nightclub was closed due to licence issues, but eventually reopened as a lounge.
