The time has come for the biggest night of the Middle East hotel industry – the 2019 Hotelier Awards – and we want to hear from those who feel they deserve recognition for their hard work throughout the year.
For 2019, we want to see your best power stances and air guitar solos as we will be putting on an ‘Everyone’s a Rock Star’ themed night. The night is set to be a wild one and we look forward to seeing you there!
The event will take place on 23 October 2019, with the venue set to announced in due course.
Now, for those wanting to be part of event, it’s still not too late to enter. We have all the details for you.
There will be 18 categories, 16 of which are for individual nominations covering a range of roles such as housekeeping, GMs and sales & marketing directors.
All entries for this year’s awards need to relate to achievements based over the past 12 months and you have until the Wednesday 31 July 2019 to get our nominations submitted through the event website: www.hoteliermiddleeast.com/awards
The submissions will be judged by a panel of industry experts, who will be announced in our next Hotelier Middle East issue.
Here’s three tips on how to prepare for entering the event:
Don’t leave it too late
As the famous Benjamin Franklin once quoted: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail” and we want to make sure entrants stand the best chance of collecting an accolade.
The final decisions of our judge will be based primarily on the factual information offered. In planning and compiling your submission, include every piece of detail – you would not want to lose out to a competitor.
Quality beats quantity every time, and we would prefer entrants to take a selective approach when considering a nomination. Choose categories that best represents the key strengths and achievements of your company or nominated individual. It’s better to submit five nominations that play to your key strengths rather enter every category in a hap-hazard manner. If you feel that you have multiple staff members who merit a particular award, then feel free to nominate them all.
We want to celebrate your achievements and this is your chance to tell the Middle East hospitality industry exactly what you’ve been doing and how well you’ve been doing it.
Take a moment to think about the detail that would impress if you were presenting your entries. What is it about your company, concept, team or individual that makes it stand out from the crowd? We care about how well your property is doing, and how individual team members are contributing towards its financial success. Any figures shared will stay anonymous, but information such as percentage change in revenue due to the implementation of a new policy will help us judge how successful you are as a business.
We wish you the best of luck and hope to see your nominations coming in thick and fast!
