The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal has appointed Alessandro Montedoro as its executive chef.
Montedoro has held leading culinary positions in several luxury hotels around the world, including Marriott Rome Park Hotel, Marriot Suzhou, JW Marriott Baku, for which he received over eight culinary awards, and The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing where he won several culinary awards as well.
With this appointment, Montedoro will make his debut in UAE.

Born in Rome, Montedoro turned his passion for cooking and writing into a profession. He also ran his own restaurant ‘La Luge’ in Italy for two years, and published his book ‘The Curative Cuisine’.
Speaking about his role, Montedoro said: “The Ritz-Carlton hotels are renowned worldwide for providing enriching dining experiences and impeccable service, which align with my own culinary style and ethos. I look forward to working with the team to inject modern culinary styles and flavours into the dining experiences at Abu Dhabi.”
At the property, Montedoro has started working on a revamped food and beverage offering across the property’s eight restaurants. He specialises in modern Italian, Mediterranean, International and Asian cuisine.
