Makarem Hotels, a hotel brand run by Dur Hospitality, announced that it will be operating the Makarem Sagryah Tower Hotel in Makkah.
Details about the four-star property that will open in Q1 2020 were made available at the Arabian Travel Market. Officials also revealed that the property will be located in Maabda and will have 760 rooms, two ballrooms and three conference halls.
Further elaborating on their expansion plans, Dr Badr Al Badr, CEO of Dur Hospitality said, “Makarem Hotels continues to seek opportunities that contribute to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically in accommodating an anticipated 30 million pilgrims by the year 2030.”
The new property takes the hotel group closer to achieving its expansion strategy with its target of operating 5,000 rooms by 2023.
Talking about this, Hassan Ahdab, President of Hotel Operations at Dur Hospitality said, “This new property increases Makarem’s portfolio to 2591 rooms, placing us on the right path to reaching our 2023 target.
Its current portfolio under operation consists of 1,415 rooms, with another 1,176 rooms in the pipeline after the signing of Makarem Sagryah this month and Makarem Jabal Al-Kaaba hotel earlier this year.
