Saudi-based Moro International Group is in plans to establish an educational institute for hospitality and tourism in Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The hotel, resort and conference management company is believed to have signed an agreement with the Swiss Alpine Centre for Education and Training of International Hospitality and Tourism in Zurich, Switzerland.
Qusai Bin Nizar Al Shaiban, chairman of the Moro Group said that he hopes this step will achieve its objectives in serving the Saudi youth looking to work in the hospitality and tourism sector at global levels.
The academy will offer educational and training services including technical diplomas and degrees in hospitality.
“The Saudi market is a promising and vibrant market and the vision 2030 will achieve great success in all service sectors, including tourism, which will be targeted in the early sectors as a result of the promising trends,” Eric Hoffmann, the president of the Alpine Centre said.
Abdul Aziz Al Rihani, CEO and advisor of Morro Group, added: “The study of the labour market in Saudi Arabia shows us the size of the specialised technical demand for tourism, hospitality and mega projects over the next ten years, which requires the private sector to start raising awareness, education and training of young Saudi nationals.”
