Dubai has been ranked as one of the best destinations in the world to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.
According to Wego, an online travel marketplace in MENA, Dubai has been ranked as the fourth best destination for festive celebrations.
Attractions highlighted within the emirate include the winter garden market at Habtoor’s Palace, along with a multitude of indoor snow areas, carollers and the abundance of festive F&B offerings.
The tourist hotspot was also hailed for its immense fireworks displays across New Year’s – particularly at the Palm Jumeirah.
Finally Dubai was also given a top spot thanks to its parties and VIP performances during the holiday season.
Turkey’s Istanbul also made it onto the list, placing in the fifth spot. It is hailed for its Baba Noel traditions and Turkish version of Santa Claus.
The top spot was taken by Rovaniemi in Finland, said to be the hometown of Santa Claus. Number two was London, with Paris coming in at third place.

During the holiday period, we notice that the majority of the people book their holidays at least 27 days ahead of their travel date.”
