RevPAR rises in Middle East as occupancy increases in October

Hotels in the Middle East and Africa recorded a rise in their revenue per available room (RevPAR) in the month of October, data from STR revealed.

The Middle East also saw a rise of 6.5% in occupancy to 67.69%, while RevPAR rose by 2.3% to US$97.07 when compared to the same period last year. However, average daily rate (ADR) dropped by 3.9% to $143.62.

According to data, Africa’s occupancy dropped by 0.4% to 65.8% when compared to the same period last year, but that didn’t affect its ADR or RevPAR.

ADR for the region rose by 1.8% to $109.61 while RevPAR rose by 1.4% to $72.14.
