Continuing the capital’s Culinary Season, St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort has announced it shall bring in chefs to create special menus.
The hotel has partnered with The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi for the culinary event across the capital until December 14.
A number of chefs will take part in the ‘Taste of Southeast Asia’ portion of the season.
Sontaya, the resort’s Asian restaurant, will offer chef’s table experiences, along with a special menu from chef Winsu Adiyatma. Served December 9-13, the menu will highlight traditional Indonesian food such as Ayam Balado, Bebek Betutu and Nasi Goreng Kampung.
Adiyatma said: “At its heart, Indonesian food is based around the bounty of fresh and flavourful produce that is found and grown in Indonesia. I will be bringing ingredients from my homeland for the menu at Sontaya to ensure that our guests are experiencing the cuisine in the most authentic way.”
Continuing after the season has ended, Sontaya will then serve a menu of Vietnamese dishes from January 13-17.
Created by chef Phuc Nguyen Minh of JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa, the menu will top off the hotel’s Southeast Asian event.
