CEO Trevor MacKenzie took head chefs from 13 countries to Surat Thani and Nakorn Sri Thammart in the south of the country to experience the local culture from farmers, fishermen, and local communities.
The new Roi Jung Hoo (‘very delicious’ in southern Thai dialect) menu is the result of their findings and includes the likes of spicy lump crab southern curry, mud rice with seafood, deep fried turmeric fish with fresh chilli dipping sauce, and palm sugar cheesecake with coconut for dessert.
MacKenzie said: “We are so excited about bringing something customised and new to the people of Dubai. In addition, this initiative is part of our commitment to training and quality; to ensure that all our chefs have first-hand experience and a deep understand of Thai culture and its cuisine - they can then create genuinely authentic Thai food for our guests! Next year, we will be visiting the Northern part of Thailand.”
The menu is priced at AED129 for a sharing menu for two, or AED189 for a sharing menu for two with signature southern drinks, and is available throughout November for dinner only.
