Constance Hotels & Resorts’ brand philosophy, ‘True by Nature’, is represented in the eco-tourism approach the hospitality group takes throughout its properties as an attempt to decrease environmental impact, foster sustainability practices and help preserve the planet.

The approach to sustainability that Constance Hotels & Resorts is following can be observed when visiting any of its properties in the Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Madagascar. Each hotel constantly looks for ways to improve its eco-friendly practices by educating local communities and working with schools and wildlife clubs to limit the use of plastic.

All of Constance hotels and resorts have implemented a no plastic straw policy, replacing them paper ones. In addition, special initiatives are in place to protect and foster turtles and tortoises in the Seychelles at Constance Lemuria, Praslin Island and Constance Ephelia, Mahe Island. At Constance Moofushi, marine biologists have been hired to create coral frames, designed to encourage coral growth which is essential for both the islands’ natural beauty and the marine ecosystem’s survival.

Constance Hotels & Resorts was the first Mauritian group to receive the Green Globe Certification. Green Globe’s Standard is recognised as the highest level of sustainability certification by leaders in green travel and responsible & eco-tourism. In addition, Constance Hotels & Resorts has a Sustainable Management which insures that daily operations are in line with the group’s strategy towards sustainability management, ranging from energy consumption management to preservation of the natural the environment.
