Less than two weeks after it was announced, Bench Events’ virtual summit Hospitality Tomorrow has seen 3,000 professionals register for the event. Taking place on April 7, the online summit has been arranged as a platform to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the industry.
Bench Events chairman & founder Jonathan Worsley explained: “In difficult times, people have a burning desire to come together to figure out how to address the situation. As that is not possible in person, in just a couple of weeks, we have created the opportunity in cyberspace. I am excited to see thousands of industry leaders from around the world signing up to attend.”
Topics on the agenda will cover: the economics of coronavirus, how to survive the greatest adversity of our time, the nine essential leadership behaviours needed in a crisis, the outlook to recovery, how to capitalise on the upturn when it comes and the new post-COVID reality.
Individual speakers include Capital Economics chairman Roger Bootle assessing the economic impact of the virus; Royal Commission for AlUla CEO Amr AlMadani and Indian Hotels Company Limited CEO Puneet Chhatwal considering how to sustain growth through adversity; a team from HAMA Global sharing experiences from an asset management perspective, along with many other professionals talking about recovery plans and investment opportunities.
Activities usually found at a Bench Events conference will be present in this digital format, including speed networking via three-minute one-on-one video calls and virtual exhibition booths to chat with exhibitors.
The conference will take place from 10am to 4pm BST.
