Al Hamra International Exhibition & Conference Centre in Ras Al Khaimah has become the region’s first MICE facility to be certified by Bureau Veritas.

Hygiene measures at the centre include health assessments and screenings of staff and visitors, deployment of sand sanitisers, social distancing rules, re-evaluation of timetables to avoid bottlenecks, capacity adjustments and rigorous cleaning measures across the venue.

Al Hamra International Exhibition & Conference Centre was assessed on factors including commitment to the programme; respect for social distancing guidelines; compliance with hygienic practices and measures, as well as surveillance and management of any issues. Meeting these requirements, the facility has been awarded the label by the Bureau for a period of six months.

Developed by Al Hamra Real Estate Development, the space can be used for gala dinners, product launches, exhibitions, weddings and private events.

It comes as Ras Al Khaimah was recently awarded the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travels Stamp and certified as the first destination in the world as safe by Bureau Veritas. (
