Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa has become one of Accor’s first hotels in the country to complete its hygiene and safety programme. Developed alongside Bureau Veritas, the All Safe Programme aims to standardise and elevate hygiene across the Accor portfolio.

“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members has always been, and remains, our priority. Receiving the ALL Safe certification while we have also been implementing local regulations is a statement to the efforts our teams are making every day to achieve this.” said Mehdi Hanayen, general manager at Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa.

Measures include training for all staff, the appointment of a specially-trained All Safe Officer to oversee hygiene operations, free health support supplied by AXA for guests, temperature checking, social distancing rules, personal protection equipment, contactless transactions and frequent disinfection across the property.

The 262 room hotel — which features nine restaurants and bars, as well as the Thalassa Spa — operates on one of the country’s natural beaches.
