The recently-rebranded The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah, UAE has named Nezha Aanou as its director of operations.
Aanou has been with the property since 2017 as an executive housekeeper in the pre-opening phase. Now elevated to her new position, she will oversee the daily operational tasks of the hotel, while ensuring all employees are in a healthy work environment. A hospitality veteran, she brings to her role knowledge of current travel trends, global events and climate change awareness.
With 18 years of experience in the industry, Aanou obtained a degree in hospitality management before working as an assistant housekeeping manager at Hôtel Casablanca Le Lido Thalasso & Spa, Morocco. In 2005, she moved onto the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah were she was a housekeeping manager overseeing a team of 370.Speaking about Aanou’s appointment, the resort’s hotel manager Albert Meow said: “In hospitality, we value the importance of having the right people to communicate our values and visions, while constantly providing an outstanding guest experience. Nezha’s promotion is in recognition of her efforts and work ethic, her leadership skills and vast experience, placing her in the perfect position to lead our operations team and grow our resort in maintaining its luxury status.”
