Oman Oil and Orpic Group co-hosted with the Oman Ministry of Oil and Gas the Oman Downstream Exhibition and Conference 2019.
The conference is held during 15-17 April 2019 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, under the patronage of Hamad Al Amri, undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Labour Affairs in the presence of a number of executive heads and senior officials in the oil and gas sector, refineries and petrochemical industries.
Ahmed bin Saleh Al Jahdhami, downstream CEO of the Oman Oil and Orpic Group, delivered a keynote speech during the opening of the conference about the framework for the development of the Oman downstream industry. The Downstream CEO also shared the $28bn committed investments of the Oman Oil and Orpic Group across their nine core assets, which include $8.3bn Duqm Refinery and the $6.7bn Liwa Plastics investments in the downstream sector.
More than 100 exhibitors are participating the exhibition, now in its 3rd edition, expecting to connect with key Omani buyers and sellers. The Oman Downstream Exhibition & Conference (ODEC) is the only platform dedicated to driving forward Oman’s refining and petrochemicals potential. Across the three days, 2,000 visitors are expected to visit cutting-edge technologies and solutions within the region’s refining and petrochemical industry.
ODEC 2019 is featuring refining and petrochemical opportunities in the Sultanate and ways of maximising the value of Oman’s crude oil to support the growth aspiration of the Sultanate particularly in its efforts to diversify the economy.
