ADNOC Distribution revealed the 14 ‘lucky week two’ winners of its ‘Fuel Up and Fly Off’ initiative during an event held at the Etihad Innovation Centre.
The ‘Fuel Up and Fly Off’ campaign is a joint partnership between ADNOC Distribution and Etihad Airways, which offers the chance for ADNOC customers to be entered into a raffle to win a pair of return tickets to anywhere in the Etihad network.
During the prize unveiling, the ‘week two’ winners were announced to an audience made up of invited guests, including previous winners, ADNOC Distribution and Etihad Airways leadership and staff. The raffle draw was also streamed live via social media channels.
The campaign commenced in mid-April and will run until mid-June. There are weekly prize draws, with 14 prizes per draw and customers can enter the raffle draw via SMS, through their ADNOC Distribution receipt. Each prize is two economy-class return tickets. Customers who fill up with Super 98, use Premium Service, or pay with their ADNOC Wallet win two return business-class tickets.
Discussing the campaign’s concept, ADNOC Distribution’s acting CEO Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi commented: “We are always looking for ways to engage with our customers and exceed their expectations when it comes to our customer offering. Our ‘Fuel Up and Fly Off’ campaign allows us to do just that by giving customers the chance to win Etihad Airways tickets by refuelling at one of our stations located across all seven emirates. We appreciate our customers and are delighted to reward their loyalty in this original way.
“We thank Etihad Airways for their support in helping us bring this unique and exciting opportunity to people across the UAE.”
Robin Kamark, chief commercial officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said: “As the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, we are always proud to partner with ADNOC Distribution and give back to our customers. This partnership gives the UAE residents the chance to win a trip with Etihad Airways and travel to their dream destination, or even visit their families back home, and we cannot wait to see where our winners fly to.”
Prize packages were presented to ten winners whose names were chosen in the 17 April draw held at ADNOC Distribution’s head office.
Abu Dhabi’s Rania Freij, who won two return business-class tickets on 17 April, said: “I have always wanted to go to Australia, or New Zealand. My dream has come true.”
Leoty Neimida from Al Ain said: “My family was hoping to go on holiday in June, so this came at the perfect time. We will be able to go visit friends and family in the Philippines.”
To enter the competition, customers need to purchase a minimum of AED50 on one type of fuel (E-Plus 91, Special 95, Super 98, diesel, kerosene, or CNG) when they refuel at ADNOC Distribution service stations across the country. Their receipts will contain a unique raffle code that, along with their full name, must be sent via sms to 2772. One entry per customer per day will be accepted.
Each lucky winner will receive two return tickets to any destination on the Etihad Airways network departing from Abu Dhabi (terms and conditions apply). Winners who filled up with Super 98, use Premium Service, or pay with their ADNOC Wallet will also receive an upgrade to business-class.
