Sipchem appoints Abdullah bin Saif Al-Saadoon as its acting CEO

The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud appointed Ahmad Al-Ohali as the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries at the rank of minister on 23 March 2019.

Following this appointment, Sipchem announced the resignation of the vice chairman of board of directors Ahmad Al-Ohali, on 24 March 2019. The board of directors approved the resignation on 24 March 2019 and will be valid from the date of the resolution.

The Sipchem board of directors also approved the appointment of Abdullah bin Saif Al-Saadoon as acting CEO of Sipchem starting from 24 March 2019.

The board of directors congratulated Al-Ohali on this royal trust and expressed appreciation for his outstanding efforts and significant contributions during his tenure as CEO since its establishment.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Saadoon graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1980 with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. After his graduation, he worked with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, then he moved to work with SABIC, where he held a number of leadership positions.

Al-Saadoon joined Sipchem in 2001. He participated in several major projects carried out by the company during the period of its establishment. Later, he took over the position of president, operations and manufacturing. During his tenure, he managed the company's transformation in several sectors, including IT, human resources and supply chain, as well as under his board chairmanship and board membership in a number of Sipchem's affiliates.
