On 10 May 2018, McDermott International announced that it has completed its combination with CB&I, creating a premier, fully integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions for the energy industry. The combination of McDermott International and CB&I brings together a global upstream and subsea EPC company with an established downstream provider of industry-leading petrochemical, refining, power, gasification and gas processing technologies and solutions – creating a company that spans the entire value chain from concept to commissioning. Together, McDermott has the integrated technology, engineering expertise, construction experience and global reach to design and build the energy infrastructure of the future. In January 2019, McDermott International was awarded a sizeable contract from Daelim Saudi Arabia Company for EPC of CB&I storage tanks for the Ma'aden ammonia plant at Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia. The fixed lump sum contract encompasses the engineering, procurement and fabrication of four ammonia tanks and nine CB&I storage tanks. In July 2018, McDermott International was awarded another sizeable contract from Samsung Engineering Saudi Arabia Company for EPC of CB&I storage tanks for the Jubail United Petrochemical Company ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant No 3 at Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The fixed lump sum contract encompasses the engineering, procurement and fabrication of 23 CB&I storage tanks and modification of two existing tanks. On 8 February 2018, CB&I received a letter of award from ANDOC to build a crude flexibility project valued at more than $500mn in Ruwais, UAE.
