Jacobs Engineering Group received a contract from Petro Rabigh in February 2019 to provide FEED and PMC services on the company’s fuel oil upgrade project – Bottom of the Barrel. Located in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, Bottom of the Barrel is an upgrade project, which converts oil residue streams from the crude distillation process into more profitable products. In August 2018, Jacobs received a two-year contract renewal from Satorp to provide general engineering services (GES) at its facilities. Jacobs was awarded a three-year GES contract in June 2018 by Yasref to help optimise the production at its facilities in Saudi Arabia. In March 2018, Jacobs was awarded a contract for a pre-feasibility study, with the option of proceeding to a detailed feasibility study, by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries. The studies will evaluate how domestic refining capacity can be best expanded, in a cost-effective way, while providing advantaged feedstocks for integrated petrochemical production.
