In support of Gulf Traffic Week, the Tristar Group is organizing three safety-related campaigns this month starting with the pedestrian safety initiative of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) which is celebrated Gulf Traffic Week from March 12-16 under the theme: ‘Your Life is A Trust’.

Tristar on Wednesday, March 15 hosted staff from RTA’s Traffic Department who conducted the awareness lecture in its labor accommodation in Jebel Ali Industrial Area No. 3. More than 4,000 workers from neighboring labour accommodations participated.

Workers attending were given free medical check-up and refreshments. Previously, Tristar hosted a similar event in February 2016.

Tristar will also participate in a road safety awareness workshop being organized by the Dubai Chamber’s Sustainability Network using the theme ‘Be Responsible – Drive Safe’ on March 30 from 09.30 am to 12.30 pm at 13th Floor, Conference Room, Dubai Chamber.

Every year since 2014, Tristar and Dubai Chamber collaborate in offering road safety workshops to member-companies of the Sustainability Network which has about 50 members. The workshop materials used every year are designed by RoSPA or the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents, a UK-based non-profit organization with around 100 years of experience in managing road safety worldwide.

On March 27, Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne will address a safety conference in Sohar, Oman with the theme ‘Be Safe’. The audience will be the authorities and agents working at the Port of Sohar. Tristar will be bringing an expert from RoSPA who will discuss ‘Safety Leadership’ and ‘Road Transport safety’.

The Tristar Group is a recipient of numerous international safety awards for its road transport business and shipping operations, including regional and local CSR awards for its road safety initiatives.
