Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) introduced its Dubai Maritime Virtual Cluster (DMVC) project at Gitex 2018.

The DMVC is an interactive platform developed to facilitate engagement and communication among local maritime clusters as well as members of the global maritime sector.

These services include arbitration, training, classification, insurance, finance, brokerage, shipping, ports, shipbuilding and repair, licensing, the establishment of companies in free and non-free zones, marine recreational services, and others.

“Following the vision of our wise leadership, we work hard to make Dubai a first-class international maritime gateway,” says Amer Ali, executive director, DMCA. “With this in mind, we encourage innovation to develop ideas and initiate new services that can facilitate the maritime business using the latest innovations and technologies.”

Ali adds: “We keep abreast of the latest advancements in the maritime sector to help Dubai remain a world major trade hub. For that, we developed DMVC to ensure clients receive the best maritime services. We also launched the Smart Client Mobile Application. It is an application that provides clients with a mobile-enabled channel to access and apply for services like Marine Craft License and Marine Craft Driving License.”
