Dubai-based liquid logistics company Tristar was named winner of the 'Golden Peacock Global Award for Corporate Social Responsibility' by the Institute Of Directors (IOD), India.
Tristar Group CEO Mayne (3rd right in picture) received the award from Prakash Mehta, State Cabinet Minister for Housing Department, Maharashtra and officers of the IOD in Mumbai, India.
Tristar’s CSR thrust is to give back to communities where it operates. In Africa, one major project is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) No. 4 on Quality Education.
The company has been supporting and funding the development of local schools and facilities in South Sudan and Kenya.
The Golden Peacock Awards are now recognised as the hallmark of corporate excellence worldwide, because of their independence, integrity, and transparency.
And, through evaluation of application provides opportunity for self-assessment and helps companies accelerate the performance and competition.
Three other companies received the same award namely Reliance Industries and Tata Motors of India, and ENOC of the UAE.
Tristar’s latest award is an addition to its collection of CSR awards from the Logistics Middle East Awards, Arabia CSR Network, and Maritime Standard Awards.
The group has a CSR Steering Committee which is led by Mr. Mayne and consists of the Group Chief Administrative Officer and other department heads, managers and advisors with clearly defined responsibilities to fulfil and ensure successful completion of CSR activities across the global network in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Central America.
