Aiming to further expand its presence within the industrial smart technology space, Rockwell Automation has released a pair of new tools geared towards device analytics and plant-floor collaboration.

The first is the FactoryTalk TeamONE App, a platform geared towards tackling reducing mean time to repair (MTTR) for plant-floor teams. The addition of an alarm module allows teams to coordinate activities with live alarms, while also sharing details in real-time.

Available on the Apple App Store or via Google Play, FactoryTalk TeamONE app is wholly independent, requiring no server or device to cloud gateways.

The second new offering is the FactoryTalk Analytics for Devices, a platform designed to reduce downtime and improve productivity of automation devices.

Monitoring the health of any devices connected on a shared network, the system collates feedback data from each unit and then formulates recommendations for maintenance teams that better enables them to anticipate downtime and repair systems rapidly.

Michael Pantaleano, global business manager, Rockwell Automation, said: "We've worked closely with our customers on these solutions, proving that an instantly available app and a scalable analytical appliance that work out-of-the-box can deliver immediate value.

"At Rockwell Automation, we are committed to building tools that are approachable for our customers' current teams. These two new offerings help maintenance teams easily discover the health of their devices and better collaborate in context with insightful information."
