The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has implemented a range of integrated services for students and parents.
The new set of services enable students and their parents to carry out tasks such as reviewing a student's profile and academic record, printing e-documents and certificates, as well as making electronic payments through ADEK's parent's portal. ADEK is also promoting an e-communications system between schools and parents to resolve various issues or requests, such as moving schools or updating student's data.
The new services have been developed in partnership with Abu Dhabi's Smart Solutions and Services Authority (ADSSSA) in line with its mission of creating integrated government customer journeys.
The solutions are intended to support the digital transformation of ADEK, and its goals of providing flexible solutions to meet customer needs and improve their experience. The services are also intended to reduce the time and cost associated with traveling to schools and Customer Centers, as well as reducing paper usage by replacing with online services and digital documents.
Salama Al Amimi, ADEK's Executive Director of Organizational Development and Excellence, explained the importance of the partnership with (ADSSSA) that comes in line with ADEK's efforts to achieve its key objectives in terms of meeting the requirements and expectations of customers and helping them achieve happiness. "Such smart initiatives help achieve the goals of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision, through creating a competitive work environment with high efficiency and productivity, building sustainable development, and establishing a competitive knowledge-based economy."
