Nestlé has adopted Workplace by Facebook as its global internal communication tool, to connect its workforce and better serve consumers.
Around 210,000 of its employees worldwide are using the platform today, with deployment expected to continue through 2019.
The Middle East operations of Nestle were among the first to roll out the platform, along with Mexico, Brazil and South Africa. These pilot regions saw 25 times higher engagement per post and very high rate of use on mobile devices.
The company says that the platform has created higher internal engagement and faster responses, with better collaboration, experimentation and idea and information sharing among staff.
Workplace offers familiar Facebook features such as News Feed, Groups, Chat, events and live streams, as well as seamless mobile integration. Users can also connect with Live Video, and sales teams are also able to use Workplace for daily check-ins.
