HP Inc is showing its latest monitors and notebooks with new display technologies at CES 2019.
Among the advances on show from HP Inc are the Quantum Dot, the first QLED screen which is based on glass rather than film, with over a billion viewable colours, and world's first big format gaming display with built-in soundbar.
The HP Pavilion 27 Quantum Dot is the world's first Quantum Dot on glass display, offering over a billion viewable colours. The monitor has 2,460 x 1,440 resolution, but is just 6.5mm thick thanks to the Quantum Dot technology, and the display has an ultra-thin, three-sided micro-edge display that virtually eliminates bezels.
Other displays in the Pavilion range include built-in B&O sound, pop-up privacy cameras and QHD resolution screens.
For gamers, HP is showing the Omen X Emperium 65 Big Format Gaming Display with NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR, the world's first big format gaming display with a soundbar. The 64.5 inch display features 3840×2160 resolution with 144Hz refresh rate and 4ms GTG response time.
The 120W sound bar comes with LOFAR Low Frequency Array, VRT Vibration Reduction Technology, and a three-way stereo crossover system - which when combined, negate the need for a separate subwoofer.
Additions to the OMEN range include the Omen 15 Laptp with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20-series GPUs; OMEN Obelisk Desktop with up to 64GB of HyperX Memory, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti graphics, up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900K CPU, Dual SSD w/ RAID0, and liquid cooling.
Other new products include the HP EliteBook x360 830 G5, the world's brightest business convertible; the HP EliteDisplay E243p Sure View Monitor, the world's first display with an integrated privacy screen and the HP EliteOne 800 AiO G5 is the world's first AiO with an integrated privacy screen and packs desktop discrete graphics performance into a space-saving, sleek design.
HP is also showing the third generation of its Sure View technology, a built in technology intended to protect users sensitive data, by preventing prevents people from seeing what is on screen unless they are directly in front of it. The company also has the HP Envy USB-C hub which includes USB-C, two USB-A charging ports and HDMI 2.0 port with 4K resolution support.
