For the first time this year, the electricity load index recorded 12,300 megawatts on Sunday – 500 megawatts more than Friday's index when it reached the yellow zone, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources from the Ministry of Electricity and Water.

Sources said electricity consumption is expected to continue increasing this week, since temperatures have started rising and this will enormously affect power consumption rates.
